Description
I was inspired to draw this picture when I witnessed my horse Shama running with his mother. I was emotionally moved at the time and felt the need to draw my own portrayal of them and their strong connection.
Elizabeth Stedman is a self taught American artist who creates images based on her life experience impressions, through an expressionistic art form. She combines color with design to express her connection and feeling, making each of her pieces entirely unique and personal.
Photography is an interest Elizabeth has for expressing through images, the world in reality, in true capture, without the limitations.of human interpretation.
Elizabeth spent most of her younger life in the pacific southwest and her older adult years in the pacific northwestern United States. She has traveled nationally and internationally, having experienced many adventures in her life. She is also an american folk singer and guitarist.
Elizabeth especially appreciates drawing and painting horses, as they have been her valued teachers, loyal companions beyond measure, and a significant part of her life, in fact horse was the first word she learned how to say.
Elizabeth's dream is to start a horse rescue resident facility, in West Texas, outside of El Paso, which is traditional ranch land, for many horses needing a second chance, helping them one by one. This is what she hopes to achieve, through any success of her artwork.
She is greatly opposed to sending horses to slaughter
Elizabeth's hope is that her artwork will give you inspiration and a sense of peace in your life and with others who view it with you.
Please contact the artist if you would like her to create a personal commission art piece, or a presentation and discussion on location.
Thank you for your time in reading her biography.
Elizabeth currently resides near Wasilla Alaska USA.

Thank you very much Gwen for your thoughtful comment about my drawing Horse Paradise, actually it is medium paper weight, with standard color pencils, although they felt soft textured when I was using them. Thank you for wanting to share it!
